Default Power Commander Question

The dealership that was working on my bike took my PC off citing that "it runs better without it" and refused to put it back on. I've got some basic mods and I want to put it back on because it's worthless to have it sitting around. My question is, when I put it back on myself, if I ever decide to take it off, will the computer return back to the stock settings, or will it need to be rest?

The computer should be back to stock settings if the PC is unplugged. That's kind of strange that they would refuse to put it back on...what do they care if you want something on your bike that they don't agree with? I say find a new dealership to take your bike to for future services!

That's BS man. Who owns the bike? You or the dealership?

I wouldn't go back to this place.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had my ride at the stealership for service and they took some after market parts off telling me they were dangerous and that they would be liable if they knowingly left them on.. Such bull chit right! considering you pay to have them put on. Then I found out the mechanic broke 2 screws and made the dangerous part an excuse so he wouldn't have to pay for the parts. Needless to say I feel your pain. But a Power Commander? that's ridiculous.

Heck, "my" dealership sells Power Commanders, so I hardly think that they could try to say that a PC didn't have something to offer.

I own the bike and think it's B-U-L-L too. If it wasn't such a huge issue with my bike, I wouldn't have taken it to them in the first place. It just bothers me that the guy thinks he knows what's best for the bike, considering it took him a MONTH to figure out what the problem was with the bike. Mechanics my a$$.

Woogie - I love your name. It reminds me of Wondershowzen. "Grumpy Woogie, like snoggie? No snoggie!".

Haha, wow I didn't realize you were in Springs. I'm from Pueblo, and I've made a few trips to the Rocky Mountian in Springs...but never had them work on my bike. I know a few of the guys that work at the one down here, I'm going to ask them about something like that next time I go in there. I think you might be better off going to Apex next time...

Apex? Don't get me started on those guys. They were the first place I took it because I do most of my business with them anyhow. They however, couldn't find the problem in the first place. We need more selection around here!
