you could also just strip the black and keep them as a polished aluminum. I did just the outer lip on mine and it looks great. I polish them once every two weeks when i rid with just a drill bit polishing tool. It only costs about 10 bucks to do it but it does take a little time and patience. i think itlooks better than doing a powder coat. just my .02
what do u mean u can strip the rims. you just sand the black off and its aluminum under the black paint????????????
yes i mean taking off whatever part of the black powdercoat and polishing the aluminum underneath. If you do it right and work slowly it comes out beautiful. You can do the whole wheel or just the lips. Buy stuff called Aircraft Stripper. You just brush it on, let it sit, and wipe/scrub it off. Then use regular aluminum polish it shine it up. by the way, i now have red rim stripes around the outer lip so its red, aluminum, and black. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the look.
