RE: powdercoating rims + lowering
Just remember on the powder coating.... You have to remove the bearings! If you punch them out make sure you replace all bearings and seals! I just did mine orange Came out real nice!!! Makes sure who ever you have do the poweder coating, that they plug the wholes where the screws that hold the break rotor(s).

you could also just strip the black and keep them as a polished aluminum. I did just the outer lip on mine and it looks great. I polish them once every two weeks when i rid with just a drill bit polishing tool. It only costs about 10 bucks to do it but it does take a little time and patience. i think itlooks better than doing a powder coat. just my .02

My brother in law lowered his Ninja and all the balancing changed, especially cornering. We raised it right back up after 1 week. He said it was scary to ride. Not to mention he would bottom out on speed bumps, doing wheelies. In other words he hated it.[:@]

Unless your doing a lot of turning which i hear in FL there isn't. Id lower the bike front and rear. I raised mine back up because i plan on doing twisties once i get better. Lowering is bad for handling/cornering. but if you dont do much of that then go for it. f4i doesnt look bad lowered
