10L (2.5) gallons.......mine takes more than that when the reserve comes on, maybe 15l or so?

115 miles per 2.5 gallons is 46mpg though?

Are you lifting the gas nozzle when you are filling up the bike? Next time you fill up your gas tank, when the gas starts to come up, start raising the gas nozzle. Then you should get to your 3.5+ gallon fill mark.

You should easily be able to fill the gas until it reached the bar at the top of the gas tank.
