poor gas mileage...
i posted a question a couple weeks ago and didnt get much of a response so i thought i would ask again...absolutely any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, i just dont know what to do at this point. my bike had been bogging down at low rpms and getting bad gas mileage so i replaced the fpr and changed the oil because there was gas in it. there has been no change. its getting 30 miles a gallon and its still hard to get going from a stop. i had actually just replaced the spark plugs before it started running bad but i decided to pull them today anyway and they look fine. could i have a sensor bad but not throwing a code? i dont really have the money to take it to the dealer or to start throwing parts at it...like i said i would really appreciate any thought or ideas. thanks.

30 MPH is not awful but it is by no means great. I am at 36. Mine bogs down a little too right as I am taking off from a light or shifting into 2nd but it only does that when the bike it up to city traffic temps like 215 and above. My bike rolled 16K miles the other day so I am sure it is time for a valve adjustment which I think might help with that problem. Is yours doing the same thing?

You guys know how to shift right? 110-140 miles on a full tank? If I was filling mine all the way up I'd get about 160-180 miles before the light would come on. As it stands I get to 120-130 miles on 3 gallons.
Forgot to mention that my bike is also running rich right now.

my bike has 29,000 miles, a k&n filter and a slip on. gearing is stock, no power commander. like i said in the original post i just replaced the spark plugs, before i did it ran great and i was getting 42-45 miles a gallon every time. the plugs i put in are the same type i took out the iridium ngk's. and no mine doesnt seem to run any better or worse in traffic when its hot.
