do i have to take my rims off in order to polish my rims because at the moment i really cant afford the stands so i thought of giving it a try without taking the rims off.
do you guys happen to know if that would work or if anyones tried it before?

are you polishing just the lip or the whole thing? you don't have to take off the wheel to do either.

 

stands are worth it in the long run if you plan to ever do any maintainace to your bike. while it is possible to polish the wheels with them on the bike it would be worlds easier if you could demount the wheel from the bike and take the tire off the rim too so you won't have to worry about damaging the rubber from these nasty chemicals

 

all i want to do is polish the rim and since i dont have to take it off the bike i think im going to give it a try tomorow. and i do plan on buying the stands because i wana do work to my bike this winter but i just cant afford them right now. thanks for the help
