they are OK but Dunlop Qualifiers or Michelin Pilot Powers are much better for grip and performance. I guess it depends on what type of riding you do. If you are just into cruisin and want more mileage than the diablos or dunlop 208's would be a great choice...but for all out performance the qualifiers and PP's are the best.

Ya I'm moving to Florida (very hot weather) so I dont want something quite as soft as the Qauli's or Powers so I wont wear them real quickly.

Diablos, Pilot Powers, and Qualifiers are all on about the same level. They are ultra high performance street tires. They are as good as you can get without worrying about heat cycling on race rubber.

Roll the dice and get a set. If you don't like them switch em out. High performance bike tires are not a long term investment. If you really ride, you change tires a couple times a season.

i agree with john...they are in the same class, don't say one is better than the others, because they all spank on the roads just as well...the question should be...are you able to run these tires...

Yeah, the Diablos came stock on my 1000RR. I love 'em. I go up to the mountains every chance I get. They are super-grippy. However, after only 4000 miles, the back tire is very close to wear bars. But I have no complaints and will prob. replace with the same tire. I had Michelin Pilot Sport on my F2 and they seemed to last a little longer, but obviously the grip was lessened.

4K on those tires are good for a liter bike mang!
usually, the guys i ride with who have liters kill diablos, qualifiers, pp tires a little faster than that.

Really you have to choose between grip and tire life.

The new "dual compounds" are getting better, but still. I only get 4K out of a Rear Pilot Power on my F4i. That is corded. No burnouts. Just agressive riding. I have been told that with the exception of hot track days the Powers and Diablos wear similarly. No reports on the Qualifiers yet. They havent been out long enough for many people to have burned through a set.

I really like the "tip in" of the Powers. They are a "triangular" profile so they like to get on the sides.

I have a set of diablo's on my f4i, they have great grip and are wearing pretty well - i'd get them again.
