Pinstriping is very easy, but you do have to be patient. I guess your talking about around the wings on the bike? That is what i had for a while. The only tricky part is the curving of the wings up by the tank. Those are the tricky parts, because it is hard for the vinyl to stretch that much to make a clean curve. It helps if you use a heat gun or hair dryer for those spots. Also if you can...wait until a hotter day and park the bike outside for about 15 minutes to get the sun to shine on it. It will heat up the bike to make the vinyl stick, and to help with the tricky corners. Good luck!

BTW you can get vinyl at auto zone or advanced auto parts if you didnt have any already picked out

i believe you're talking about rim stripes. it helps tremendously to have a rear stand so you can just spin the wheel w/o having to move the bike. yes, if you search there should be a "how to" w/ a little applicator someone made to make it easier.

Sorry Jaynd, i meant pinstriping for the wings, but i will be doing rimstripes this year.

Leveltwo, thanks aot, i figured i just had to take my time. The bike is parked inside... like in my dining room, so it should be warm enough, but the hairdryer will definately be on standby. Thanks for all the tips

If you place about 5 to 10 drops of dishsoap into a full spray bottle of water, it will create a solution that will allow you to move the pinstripe around on the fairing.

1) Spray the fairing with a fine mist.
2) Apply the pinstripe.
3) Adjust as needed.
4) Squeegee the pinstripe down and let it dry.

This is the "trick" I used when I worked at a sign shop.
