No fuel pump * disconected headlight ?
Hey guys,...... im putting my street trim '01 F4i into track plastics, and after disconnecting the taillight, and headlight the fuel pump no longer comes on when i turn the key. Is therecircuitry that runs thru either of these connectors ? or do i have another issue ? I have not started this bike in a couple months, and didn't even think to turn it on before i pulled it apart.
Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to have the wire schematics? Your answer is there.
Have you tried to see the results of plugging both lights back in?
I highly doubt the head and tail lights coincide with the fuel pump, but wierder things have happened.
I'd say there is something else causing your issue....hard sayin' not knowin'.

haven't plugged things in yet, i've still got the body work all "mocked" up on it at the moment, and dont want to pull it apart just to try that out. Thought id ask here first. Was thinking i wasnt the first here to switch to track plastic and disconnect my lights....... and IF thats the cause, then everybody would be like...... YEAH, Jumper this wire to this one. Know what i mean ?

you gotta slice the tip over sensor. the black box that connects to the headlight. cut the wires. tie red and green together, tape off the white one. you see it when you look at the very bottom of the windscreen, if you arelooking at the headlight...

I guess thats probrably a good thing to consider. I didn't really want to hack up the harness to remove it, but i suppose thats easier then repairing damage to the motor after its layed beside the track, bouncing off the rev. limiter with oil dumping out the broken case. (worst case scenario)
