Can someone do me a big favor and take a couple close-up photos of the sides of the front wheel axle? I was taking a look at it tonight, and the shifter-side of the axle has two holes in it, like a clip or something is supposed to keep it there. My bike is getting a bunch of work done to it, and one of my friends originally took the wheel off, and I'd like to be sure that something isn't missing here (I'd like to keep my front wheel attached - weird, I know).

If your talking about the two holes through the actual axle shaft itself then mine has no clip either. I just swapped the stock tires off it this weekend and I know mine has never been apart before. Hope this helps.

 

just took a look at mine and theres nothing there either...my wheel has been taken off to replace the tire...my guess is that a cotter pin could go there...or a way to safety wire the axle nut, but i could be entirely wrong?

 

yeah its so you can put a screwdriver or something in there while you tighten the nut on the other side

 

Ok well that's a relief then. I was afraid I'd have to make ANOTHER order for OEM parts (done it twice already). Thanks for the heads up
