Default Odd F4i Picture Request >>LOOK.

Hey guys I am in need of a picture or two of the wiring near the handlebars/tree, (ie sit on your bike, take one shot of the left and the right side of the area where you can see your fork/back of headlamps/etc and then the left side). Reason is, I bought my bike, but feel that some of the wiring/cables may have come slightly un-done and/or the previous owner had changed things around an am trying to get back to AS CLOSE TO OEM as possible in those areas. Thanks!

Cool

I don't have a picture, but if you download the service manual (link), it'll illustrate everything you need to know, including the bird's nest behind the front cowl.

Imitation is the best form of flattery...

Most likely they did that to install flush mounts or a HID kit. Just clean it up the best you can. The intake covers hide most of it anyway.

i might be able to get you one tomorrow if i go and see my bike. Does everything work and run properly, what makes you think that stuff is coming un-done?

Well, I notice when turning the handlebars, the clutch cable seems to rub on the fork causing a screeching noise and then upon closer inspection, seems there is a few wires (in lumps) that don't seem to be placed the way an OEM would keep them -and I am trying to re-achieve that.

and for incognito...I've had this username since prior to 2000 on multiple car forums, (ranging from Honda>DSM>Evo>F4i forums), technology forums, education forums, etc. .

i would take the front faring off and take a look, if there is any wires that look like they rubbed thru i would tape them back up , alot of thatwireing sticks up under that front console and the others are zip tied to the frame at the front, just this weekend i had a short from all those wires rubbing on frame so i had to take it all apart and clean it up, huge pain in the *** but better than being on the side of the road because of a short. down load the wire diagram and take a look at that as well. good luck and just clean it up as much as possible. good luck and ride safe! electrical demons are a real BIOTCH!

Yes, but coupled with how similar your signature appears to mine... made me wonder
