Riding and talking on the phone don't mix.

Put it in your pocket, get where you're going, then call the person back.

I always use my iphone as a GPS on the bike and in the car. I have some lil knock off thing from autozone.

I never say negative things on here, but I'm going to right now. Anyone who wants to use their phone while riding that isn't a GPS is an idiot. I will admit, I'll check mine at long lights if I'm expecting something, but that's when I'm not moving, or if I need to, just pull off the road for a few seconds.

But honestly, if you want to text/call people while riding an already dangerous vehicle, where you need both hands and lots or attention to operate effectively, you deserve anything that may happen.

not saying i advocate any of this but i have the iphone headphones where you just squeeze the chord and it answers the phone with your gloves on and talk handsfree. I do agree that its a distraction and shouldnt be done unless its an absolute emergency though.

I agree with everyone, keep it in your pocket and just call people back when you're stopped. Being distracted in a cage is one thing, doing it on a bike is another. Keep it safe.

Are you seriously going to take your helmet off and answer and pull over to talk on the phone if you get an "important" phone call?

Haha, leave your phone in your pocket. really

good thing that for the most part, most of the people in this thread have their heads on straight... if you want a gps, buy a gold wing.. you don't need to mound your phone on your motorcycle so you can see who texted you, or if mom is calling. pull in to the next available driveway when you feel it vibrate. play it safe.
