I'd get a protective casing for the phone and one of those car mounts, if they make one for your phone. Then I'd take acouple zip ties and strap it to something, making sure its snug. Then for something extra I'd take acouple strips of velco and put them on the back of the casing and the inside of the holder.

You also might want to look into getting a ram-mount for the stem of the triple tree. They make a holder for the iphone.

Then you just need the holder for your specific phone.

I too wanted to look into this, and like the idea of mounting my phone under the windshield (to be protected somewhat by rain) so that I can use my Droid's gps feature. The ram mount looks perfect and with the arm I may be able to locate the phone under the windshield better, using the ball joint from my verizon car mount. Has anyone used the ram mount on the stem? If so, how well is it covered under the windshield?

My friend has one on his Busa but its not really protected by the windshield. However, Ram-mount also makes this base http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...5/Default.aspx. You could definitely get an arm to go under the shield with that. I just wonder about clearance when turning right.

HHmmm, interesting teko. I'm not sure I'd like the arm reaching over but I'll take some pics of that part of my bike if I can't find any and try to come up with something from the stem of the triple tree that will lean backward to be covered and not hit the windshield or anything else while turning. If I come up with something that works, I'll share.

Not to lecture or anything, but...street riding takes all the attention you can muster and even then, it's often not enough.

I came within an inch of being whacked last month by a woman either texting or cellphoning. Not the first time.

Why is a call worth what could be a fatal distraction?

Agreed... No phones while riding period! common sense guys. I wouldn't use the bluetooth if i had one given to me or free. It takes 2 seconds to pull over and answer a call or call back.....

Anyways how are you gonna answer your iphone with gloves on? or do you not wear gloves?
