Paint?
wrecked my 02 f4i, had to replace all the fairings was wanting some suggestions on what color to paint it. im looking for something thatll stand and and be a lil different (but not weird LOL) thanks
My buddy painted his F4i solid black, it was nice but lacked enthusiasm. more stealth than, "hey look at this"
Personally i think you should go with a redicall color like some type of orange or maybe a race style paint job. with alot of different colors but good flow

i like the repsol bike for some reason i can't figure, but that's an rr. it all depends upon your taste. the rr orange wouldn't be bad either, but i think it's a 3-layer paint (base, mid, clear) which means you'll be buying 33% more paint, and it is nearly impossible to match and/or patch. you'll be doing the entire piece. black is awesome for ease of repainting, especially if you'll be doing it yourself.
i'm not a big flames person but some of the "ghost flames" i've seen, using a darker color and a really close to that color for the flames look awesome. but once again, impossible to patch, you'll be doing entire panels over if you have to repair them.

All black does look REAL good on the F4i, but it is a little boring in a way.
Most people go with a bright candy/metallic color for an eye catching look though.
Here's an interesting F4i that I saw on ebay....they tried to do a Repsol replica:
