Owners manual needed for dashboard info
Hi Guys,
I'm a newb to this forum as I have just purchased a 2001 F4i - and am loving it!
But it came without an owners manual and I'd really like to know what the LED dashboard display items mean - for example at the bottom now I have a black "B" in a frame between the odometer and - I think - trip meter, and I don't know what it means. But I'd like (actually need) to know what everything means.
I'm happy to buy a manual but can't even find one on the net, so if anyone can help with any info on this it would be great.
Many thanks in advance
Andrew

Hi Classic,
Thanks for the links. This is all good stuff, and I have the workshop manual which I will no doubt use during my ownership of this bike, however there is no basic information of the "Combination meter" - ie the LED display. What do the lights mean? When do they come on?
Thanks anyway
Cheers

hiya andmic..
i too, dont have a manual (bought the bike in july).
you have two "trip meters", A and B. to reset the one
currently shown, press and hold the lower of the two buttons.
the top button is to set the clock.
as for the lights. you get the whole Christmas tree when you
turn the key. then, the red light and oil symbol will stay on until
you start the engine. after that, there shouldn't be any lights on
except if you're in neutral gear of course (green N).
on the left side, you have 4 bars of fuel. they aren't visible until you
get to the reserve fuel. at that time, all 4 bars will light up. a few miles
later the top bar will start to blink. a few further miles, the 2nd bar from
the top will start to blink together with the top one, and so on until all
4 bars blink and then you'll be pushing the bike
anything else ?

Hey VoxTrox!
Many thanks for the info. I actually managed to source a user manual from: http://megabikes.webs.com
for the princely sum of $5.
Cheers
