I would say its as safe as any other helmet on the market.
It is DOT and SNELL approved.

ha....thats my passenger helmet
So you're into **** chicks?? LOL..

That CF HJC is pretty sweet. I was riding with a buddy the other day who has a CF helmet, and I noticed that when the sun is behind us, it makes a big floating "X" on the back of his helmet. It's like holographic looking.
Ever noticed that? Do they all do that?
Just wondering. I hadn't noticed before the other day....lol..

yea I def did notice that...it almost has a 3-D effect when the sun light it hitting it right due to the cf weave pattern.

Maybe, but who cares as long as they look clean? If I were you I'd just leave them alone, unless you're one of those ocd types that unless you fix them will go crazy every time you look at them. Just my 0.02.

I really like these. I just wish they offered them in colors to match (checked website didn't see anything about color option). I would even pay extra to have it like that. Want to put them on my 04 but my wing tip is red and not black so I think it would look kinda funky.

^You'd just see it a little more. I'd rock the black over the clear any day on my silver and red combo.

As far as putting them on backwards, I say if it works, leave it, because it looks GREAT. (But I DO think they're on backwards :P)

Techspec claims to being able to remove and reapply the pad up to 8 times.

Could someone quickly explain what the grips are for, I understand what grips do and what not, but I was more interested in understanding why it would be beneficial on a motorcycle. Thanks

Nice mod to your bike. Can also be used to cover up some scratches too! Sweet CF frame covers too. Planning on doing that mod soon...

They arent particularly useful for street riding but if you are doing track days or aggressive twisties they give you more grip to hang on when you are leaning out on a turn.
