Default Our wrecked weekend

Here is what my friend did to his 2001 CBR 600F4i this Saturday. I posted the story in the new members area. Here is the link. https://cbrforum.com/m_119283/tm.htm

At lease he is alive!

Great web site!

Glad to hear he is okay…just proves how crucial it is to wear the right gear!

He just got some road rash where the gear didn't hold up, but it would have been a lot worse if he wasn't wearing any. He had gloves, pants, helmet and a jacket on. No riding shoes. The bike ripped his shoe right off, but his foot was okay.

I still can’t get it out of my head how close he was from going over that cliff. It is such a bummer this happened. Now our riding buddy is out until he gets a new bike.

Damn, that's nasty. Might as well just bury it where it lies.

All i got to say is THANK GOD FOR THE TREE! Looks like he would have went on a nasty tumble if that tree wasnt there. Glad your friend is doing alright, bummer about the bike though.

Yeah, if it wasn't for that tree, he would of lost the whole bike for sure. We guessed the bike would have gone 200++ plus more yards. I've got to say, this past weekend was weird, because of not riding. It looks like he is going to re-build the bike into a track bike and is going to get a new bike sometime next year. He already said he is sticking to his roots and getting another Honda.

I'll keep you fellow bikers posted.

Peace!!!
