Default operator error or bike problem?

i bought some new bar ends for my f4i they are bike masters my local shop said they were universal. now the left clip is missing the barend which is why i got new ones. when i put the new one on the bolt starts but then just turns the inside of the clip on so it won't go any further. and on the right side i can't get the current one off i'm guessing for this same reason. am i missing something i didn't think this would this difficult

I'd love to help you but honestly I don't even know what a barend is. I'm guessing its something that goes on the end of the handlebars?

its the black peice on the end of the bars that screws in. my problem is that after i start the screw the inside of the clip on spins with the screw.

The bar ends rotate on my F4. I think it is a feature, so you dont wear a hole in your glove when throttling, the bar end turns as your turn.

Use a drill with a screwdriver bit to get them off (and on), it can spin way faster than the bar end and it will come off.

yea mine also spins.
You can tighten it but it will just get loose again. I just deal with it.
