Default Old and blind is a bad combo

OK, I screwed up. I was waxing my Bike yesterday and when I got done the Bike looked pretty bad. I put my glasses on and oh shiat... I used my bottle of Chrome Cleaner, same size and color bottle and I wasnt paying total attention as the foozball games were on and I was on my 4th brewsky.

Anyway, a quick once over with actual wax and she looks better. All except the windscreen that is. I cant get rid of the foggy look. Anyone have any ideas?

My first thought is just paint it black but that brings on another whole set of prep questions.

Help....

I think chrome cleaner actually could etch plastic. You could try a plastic cleaner first before anything.

Super light wet sanding (1500-2000) + rubbing compound + polish?

That's what the headlight restoration kit had me do anyway.

rubbing compound and polish all applied with my little friend here and it will make it all go away.(Too much will make your paint go away though so careful on the fairings!)

Thanks guys. Ill start with the HL repair kit and then move onto the sanding if needed.

I'm still considering painting the inside windscreen black. Im too old and tall to get that low anyway.

Hit 140 on Highway 25 south of Hollister today with my helmet stickin up. I never thought Id even bother trying but I was doing a hundred and cruising, saw a 2-3 mile stretch ahead and no other vehicles in sight. It wasnt as fast as I would have thought. Bike was solid as a rock.

75 degrees, like a spring week here in Ca. I saw at least a hundred bikes out today.

Yea, things are coming at you pretty fast. I kept thinking of some old lady pulling out of her driveway
