Default oil to much?

so i just did my oil change and i got a question. I was changing my oil and i read on the forums you need 3.5 quarts. i put in about 2/5 of the last quart and when i went to go check the oil, it was full all i can see was a little tiny bubble at the top of the hole. The bike was straight when i looked at it. and also the bike is lowered around 2 inches. Is this much oil to fine?, if not how to take out some?

did you change the oil filter? you need less oil if you dont change the filter. also, how long after shutting the bike off did you check it? you should wait about 5 minutes. you can take a syringe with a hose and stick it in the oil fill hole to try to get some oil out, or crack open the drain bolt for a second to dump some oil.

Is the bike lowered evenly or do you just have a new dog-bone for the rear? That may account for why it looks full if your bike isnt sitting level.

Don't forget to actually start the bike so the oil starts pumping. That usually lowers it a bit. I did a recent oil change like 2-3 weeks ago and used all 4 quarts. I always change the filter.
