Oil light is blinking then goes away when running ?
When i turn the key on the oil symbol blinks and the red light is on above it, until i start the bike and then it goes away. I was told it was serviced at a reputable shop and i believe it because the women who works their remembers the bike when i came in to buy gear. Also are the gear boxes kind of clanky sounding when shifting like dirtbikes ?
This is normal. The bike is reporting a low oil pressure condition. Which is correct, since the bike isn't running and there is no oil pressure
You'll also see the oil lamp briefly after changing the oil while the bike is actually running, as the oil needs to circulate through the system again.
If the oil lamp ever comes on while the bike is running (at any speed, in any gear, at any RPM) and you haven't just changed the oil, stop the engine immediately and do not ride until you know why. https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...e-warm-128905/ is why.
The other light I imagine is to the right of the oil light, just past the neutral indicator, since there are no lights above that on standard F4i gauges. That light is the MIL or "Fi" light. Also normal to come on briefly when you turn the key. If it begins blinking, the F4i ecu has logged a problem. You can have it generate a blink code to tell you what's wrong.
