It's not the oil.

Maybe something wacky in a high mileage worn out gunked up motor could happen when the synthetic degunks it, but I would assume the problems are coincidental. The motor isn't using alot of oil now, is it? Any blue smoke? Did you look at the plugs?

I guess the only thing that could be caused by an oil change is overfilling... If you didn't do that, I would rule out the oil change and figure it's something else that just happened at this time.

If you had to almost totally open the throttle beforehitting the starter button and keep it open when pushing it, does it start better? Mine runs slightly rich anddoesn't always start when turning it off andimmediately try to restart it.

If you think the oil is the problem try starting it without it.

j/k

Check your wiring. Put your ECM into diagnostic mode and check the codes. Some car engines won't start if the sensors detect an anomaly. I'd bet you jiggled something loose and it's causing a fault.

how about gas mileage? worse? maybe some fuel regulator type doohicky is dumping a little too much fuel and almost causing a flooding condition?

Just guesing here, but maybe with enough questions it'll help diagnose it.

You might want to follow this up with JUST JOKING, before someone does this.
