Default Odometer Reading

If you replace the gauge cluster does the odometer reading stay with the cluster or is it stored in the PCM?

If it's like a car its stored on the cluster..I don't know of any that the pcm store the mileage...So it probally safe to say motocycles are the same as cars

It's stored in the cluster, so if you replace the cluster it'll say whatever that cluster has on it

I wonder if you are required to report the mileage somehow if you replace the cluster to avoid odometer fraud? Not a big deal but it may be an issue in certain jurisdictions.
