i agree w/ everything tahoe has said

it doesnt look like hes being honest...i would drop him down alot on the price or save your money and get something better taken care of...it also depends on how mechanical you are

Guys, let's be real here. It's a 6 year old motorcycle. OF COURSE it's been dropped. I would have an experienced person evaluate it, but I would not walk away as easily as Tahoe suggested. You can put a contigency on the deal like Must pass inpection and seller pays all costs of restoring to operational condition. Also cover any massive misalignments (ie fork, frame, swingarm) damage. Use a third party escrow service if you'd like to do the deal. Be sure that you can back out. Use his dishonesty to negotiate a better price after the mechanic looks at it.

My opinion, but who pays for that nowadays.

fyi, the fairings have been replaced or repainted...the stock ones are red with silver decals

that is more than a drop, that has been down while moving

like tahoe said, id walk away, there are plenty of other bikes out there...this one is fishy to me

this is the EXACT reason i always bring my brothers with me. we all ride , have for a long time and we know what to look for. while one of us is lookin @ one thing the others can be talking to the guy or checkin something else out. then i get the info .. go talk to the person and see if he/she tells me the same thing.. ive caught people in lies before and its funny how they try and cover it up [sm=bustedsign.gif]

With allthe evidence and scratches in front of you maybe yo ushould walk. Is it really worth it to lowball the guy if he is already being dishonest. I do agree with have a back out plan if the mechanic says its a bad deal but, It really just sounds fishy to me. This cant be the only good deal in your area.

As for the price drop it could be because he/she is being dishonest or it could be basically its paid off and he just needs some change.

And finally no matter what we say you will have your mind made up because in the long run you are the one going to be riding it, so its either goign tro be your pleasure or your headache. Just way everything and depending on the pro's and cons go from there.
