02 28k miles.Tires and clutch were just replaced. I got him down to $3500 his asking price was $4800.It was dropped while he was trying to move it.The only damage was the stator cover got scratched. It sounds good no unusual sounds and shifts good.Good deal?

 

nice job negotiating the price from 4.8k to 3.5k...i'm still a noob so i dont know if ur getting a good deal.

He needs to get rid of it bad he told me! The only major thing is the miles on it!

 

i would not worry about the miles. i would ride out the bike a few times just to make sure that there isnt any oil leakage from the stator cover. though it migh look like it has a few scartes, it might be actually cracked at the bolt ends.

 

Clutch being replaced at that low mileage?!?!?!?!? That's a clear sign that he's been beating on the bike (e.g. burnouts, wheelies, etc). I'd walk away.

 

maybe it was a precautionary measure, or maybe he beat it to hell

 

sorry it wasn't the clutch.It was the clutch cable.

 

seems high, i got my 02 with 9k miles for $3200 out the door.
