new suspension
Anyone got a link showing how to remove the rear suspesion. Got a new one coming in and i would like to do it myself if i can see what tools i'll need and how difficult a procedure it is.
I don't have a link but here's how I do it.
- put bike on rear stand
- put bike on front stand (perhaps optional)
- remove rear wheel (may be optional depending on how accessible the shock is)
- suspend rear subframe with tie-downs from garage rafters or something similar (you'll likely need to remove various fairings)
- remove shock (it may take some removal of other pieces to get access to the resevoir)
You'll only need standard hand tools.

Make absolutely sure what is above can support the rear of the bike. You can rent an engine hoist for cheap and know that the bike won't overload it.
Now details dude -- what kinda goodies are ya gettin
