sweet thx everyone, ya woogie this payday i may get those off ya to cover up my mistakes and to make it a lil more eye pleasing

 

I installed my own frame sliders last year and bought some of those gromets off Woogie when he initially got them. I can tell you than quite a few people have commented on the way it "finishes" the fairing with the slider. It makes it look a whole lot cleaner on my bike.

For others interested, I've got a total of 8 grommets left (after I ship 4 to EPNF4i).

 

This is completly unrelated. But I'm going to have one more Guinness, then go to bed.

 

Woogie maybe im missing it but the groms are used for what? I bought that tool from oem website will i need the groms or are they for if you make a mistake.

 

The grommets aren't required. They just give the appearance of a neater and tighter fit, while still allowing the fairing to float. If the hole fits the slider exactly, then the fairing will get cracked if you go down because the slider will give a little bit.

Also, they will cover asmallmistake if you make one. If you use the tool, and are careful, I doubt you'll make a mistake.
