Alright fellas this is my problem. I bought my 2000 cbr600 f4i a year ago and only have one key. So I took it the the local honda dealer to get another cut. They had to order the key so no big deal right. They call me later and ask for the key number because there are 3 different keys for that bike. An A, B, and C. The number should be on the key but its not. Anyway they said the VIN wouldn't help with the key so I'm turning to you all for some help. Anyone had this problem and could help. Thanks.

 

Why did you go to a dealer instead of a hardware store or a locksmith? They are asking for the number on the ignition that has to be taken apart. You could have avoided this whole thing just by having a locksmith cut one right there and then.

 

if u already have 1 key just make a copy

 

When I ordered up my key, they said there's only one type of key for a 2000 CBR600. I got it off ebay and cut it at the local store.. done and done..
