Default New here...

Hey Everyone,

I've had my '05 F4i for a few months. Bought it off my dad for 5K with 600 miles. I'm now starting to mod it a little. Got an undertail coming. I'm also getting a custom shorty CF pipe made. I'm good friends with the mfg that makes Yamahas GYTR pipes. I'm also going to have a seat cowl made to cover the passenger seat. Gotta get rid of this banana seat! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on those pig spotter mirrors. I like the size of them but how are they on visibility? Any input would be great. Here's a pic of my *** kicker the day I brought it down from the bay area.

.

Welcome to the site. Nice bike. As for the pig spotters. There are several different opinions, but for the most part.......look nice but totally useless. Lol.

Welcome. Beautifull bike man. One good thing about buying from your dad is you know the history. Have fun and be safe.

Beautiful bike, bootleg, congrats!
Stock mirrors will work better than any aftermarket mirror IMO.
I wouldn't change a thing there.

Thanks everyone. I kinda figured the stocks would be better. I appreciate the welcome. Everyone on this forum seems pretty cool. I've been lurking for a few months. Ride safe.

Welcome to the site! In my opinion, pig spotters are nasty, and even worse, they are not good for visibility.

Welcome dude... and sweet bike!! You'll love it!

IMO pig spotters are worthless. Some bikes they don't look half bad if done right, but at least for me, I've gotta have good functional mirrors (I just got rear ended 3 weeks ago sitting at a light... still a lil paranoid!).

If you don't like the banana seat there's always the option to do the '01-03 F4i split seat tail swap, just so ya know. I did it on mine a few months ago and love it!

Enjoy the new ride and stay safe!

who is making the custom seat cowl for you?

Welcome to the site and the mirrors are totally useless in my opinion. Its hard enough to see out of mirriors now some times so it going to be worst then.
