New F4i owner...help please!
Just picked up an 06 F4i yesterday, $1200. Got rearended. Guy replaced the swingarm. Only things I need to replace are: new chain/sprocket, brake/clutch levers, passenger pegs, headlight/taillight, windscreen and unfortunately all new plastics. But on to the technical stuff.
First question is, as soon as I turn on the key, the fan goes on and stays on. Any ideas what to check?
Next thing, when its in neutral and I rev it up, the speedometer goes up, even though it's in neutral. When it comes back down, it usually stops at 5mph. Any ideas here?
I haven't really started tearing into it too far yet, waiting for some parts so that's about all I can think of right now.
Thanks guys.

I don't know about your first and last question, but I got the same problem with the speedometer. I took it to a shop and they said somthing was wrong with my speedometer magnet by the rear wheel. They couldn't fix it at that time for whatever reason, and then I got deployed. However, I am coming back in 10 days and will take it to a shop to fix it.
Good luck!
Good luck!
I haven't gotten a manual yet and forgive me for being a noob but is there anywhere that I can look at the schematics online? It could help diagnose a few other things as there are a few spliced wires I see that I'm not sure what they are for.
Edit: Found the schematics and service manual. Will get to working on figuring all of this out. If anyone has any more input, please feel free to post it. Thanks!
