Default New to CBRforum: Think this bike is worth it?

Hey whats up everybody, im new to CBRforum from norther California.
Ive been looking into getting a 2003 CBR600F4i with 3,860 miles. Seller wants $4400. Its silver and looks to be in great condition...

Think its worth the asking price?
And considering how much time it has apparently sat around without use over the past 9 years, should i have any concerns or questions to ask the current owner?
Any general tips you could give me to aid in my hunt for a CBR is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!
-Devin

It seems about right. I bought mine with 5k miles for 3500. But it had some rash on the side. As long as it has been started weekly, or on a battery tender.

a couple weeks ago i purchased an 06 with similar miles for 4200. so you should be able to negotiate a little.

ask the seller if they have maintained it. if they have the maintenance records. if they rode/started the bike regularly even when it was stored. the guy i bought mine from took excellent care of the bike and it looks like it came out of the showroom and runs like a top. low miles doesnt mean it sat in a dusty old barn rotting away.

keep in mind if those are original 03 tires, they would need to be replaced (for safety)

uhh, look in the tank for rust, thats 500+ bucks or a kream kit, so if you kream it its 120 for 2 packages.
if the tank is disguisting you probably need to replace the fuel pump $350+ and the fuel pressure regulator $40-$80, battery cost about 100 bucks as well.

Too much! I got one in perfect mechanical and cosmetic condition for $2800 (it had 20k miles, but cctl had already been replaced and chain and tires were brand new too)
