Helmet, gloves, good jacket with armor, boots that come above the ankle, padded shorts, knee/shin gaurds. The more the better. Bones can be pinned and heal, but removed flesh is tough to replace. Just look at it this way, the bike is insured and can easily be replaced in a day....you get hurt, your down for weeks or months.

I wouldn't ride without an armoured jacket, full face helmet, armoured gloves and boots that go above the ankle. the gloves don't hae to be worth a $100 as long as they have knuckle protection. I only wear jeans most of the time but they are motorcycle jeans (reinforced) but they aren't armoured (I wish they were).
Congrats on the new bike... lets see some pics.
Don't do the tail conversion untill next winter.... you will know if it is worth investing in the bike by then + you will probably drop the bike during your first full season of riding... might as well do the conversion when repairing from a drop

whats up guys.. im new to this site im 18 and i just put a dp on my first sportbike today, its a 04 cbr 600 f4i. iv been around bikes since i was born, i finally found one for me. i love the bike but im not a fan of the banana seat. it looks comfortable and all but i like the two seperate seats. i saw a conversion on youtube and i was wondering if there a conversion kit? if not i was wondering what parts i would need and how much it would run me?....also i was wondering where the best place to buy fairings? or if anyone has a set for sale in really good shape? im looking for the back ones with the red wings
Check my profile page & photo album for answers for conversion parts & tutorial.
The conversion is very straight-forward & can be done easily.
If you need further help, please let me know. Good luck.
