new bike.... seat conversion ... looking for fairings
 

whats up guys.. im new to this site im 18 and i just put a dp on my first sportbike today, its a 04 cbr 600 f4i. iv been around bikes since i was born, i finally found one for me. i love the bike but im not a fan of the banana seat. it looks comfortable and all but i like the two seperate seats. i saw a conversion on youtube and i was wondering if there a conversion kit? if not i was wondering what parts i would need and how much it would run me?....also i was wondering where the best place to buy fairings? or if anyone has a set for sale in really good shape? im looking for the back ones with the red wings

theres no kit for conversion, ull have to get all the peices to do it. youre already talking bout dropping like 1200 on the bike and u just got it!!!! slow down a lil....... just enjoy the thing

yeahh im not doing anything rite away maybe around spring time or in the summer i wana ride!! but that might be on hold for awhile with work/ school and its getting cold :icon_doh:

1200 for the conversion vangill? Doesnt he just need a new subframe, tail fairing, and seats? that shouldnt be more than 3-400. Maybe 600 if he gets a shop to do the welding and what not for the subframe. 1200 seems way more than I could imagine it costing and way more than its worth. Am i misguided or were you not talking about just the conversion being 1200?

I feel the EXACT same way, haha. The banana seats are whack to me. That's why I was hunting for an 01-03 model.. Luckily I found one at a decent price. Welcome to the forums. I haven't been on here that long either. I wish I Was 18 when I got my bike. I feel 18, but I'm 22. haha good luck on the conversion. Time & $.

Welcome to the board!! Not trying to preach, but please make sure you get ALL of your gear, if you havent already, before modding the bike. Squidding it up is fun until you hit the pavement.

I was talking conversion and fairings. No it wouldn't be 1200 for just the conversion. But under 600 would be getting a steal on som parts

you should do a split seat subframe with a 1000rr tail... ;)
