All he's saying (and I agree with him) is that to ride a 1000 to it's potential takes more than a year - I don't care what offroad experience you have the power of a 1000 is something devastating if you're not ready for it.
Take the advice for how it's meant and let's move on, OK. ?

 

To the OP:
I just realized (after looking at my own) that your frame slider is mounted to a fairing bolt hole instead of the motor mount hole. Which must have threads 1/3 the size of the motor mount threads.
I wonder how that will hold up during a spill or even a tipover.
