Default Why is it so hard to find a fuel filter

Dont know if you noticed my other post but I picked up an 03 with 900 miles on it. Been sitting since 03 but I will be doing all the standard stuff, coolant, oil, brake fluid, injector cleaner and so on. I bought a full fairing kit and new tank from honda cuz I dont like the color but while Im swaping the fuel pump I would hate to put it back together without changing the filter. Honda says there isnt one and they dont see a part number for it but I know its there. Cant find it online anywhere. Anyone know where to get one?

the filter is the bronze colored metal can next to the pump. the metal nest stuff is just part of the pick up. it keeps fuel from sloshing around at the base of the pump.
