HIDs are often more trouble than they're worth. BAS bypassed isn't a bad thing, as long as the wires aren't grounding out and causing a short.
So I take it your fuel pump isn't priming? How's the voltage on the battery, and how's the connection to the pump?
What are you doing for transportation in the mean time?
