I will be buying an F4I soon just wondering what year are your bikes and how much
did you guys paid for them? post pics if you can.

bought a '01 F4i, had 4,660 miles on it and was in MINT condition. seller gave me a textile jacket, arai helmet, gloves and a rear stand. i paid $5K for it and was please w/ what i got for my $5K. the bike was bone stock too.

pic in sig. and avitar although i've modded it since purchasing it.

 

I got my '01 F4i w/ 15K miles on it, old tires, old chain & sprockets, all stock except a Yoshimura slip on and a few little scratches...for $3500. Not mint, but once i cleaned it up it's a pretty good lookin' bike. Mechanically sound and appearance probably a 8 out of 10. I did get a great deal, though...but it took some patience and a little luck.

Don't jump the gun when buying a bike. Unless it's just too good a deal to pass up, hold out for what you really, really want the first time. If you don't you'll wind up spending lots of $$$ trying to get it the way you want it. If you think you'll spend more than a few hundred dollars on the bike, just hold out for one that someone else is trying to get rid of that already has everything done to it.

And don't buy from a dealership, in general. You'll get much, much better prices from a private seller on these bikes in particular.

2004 CBR F4i with 2850 miles on it, mint, super condition, with the yosh pipe and I mean this sucker is loud as hell too. Bought it almost 2 months ago for $5,500 including a helmet, jacket, and the stock exhaust he threw in too. good deal I thought. Since then, many modifications. look at signature.

 

thanks for the pics anf info so far, I really like the look of the F4i but the ones I saw for
sale all got the banana seat what's the deal with that? Did you guys modified the seat?

From what I've seen so far im lookin at 2002 with 14k miles for $5,300.
It seems pretty steep. will be holding on it to see more.

 

I think the '01 and '02 models had the split seat. I know for sure the '01 does...and there is at least one more year that has it that way...but i forget which. I do like the split seat better, as well.

Yeah, if you look around and are willing to travel a bit, you should be able to find a nice F4i for under $5k...especially this time of year. But they do go fast...people really like these bikes. Dealers are always trying to get me to trade in because they know they'll be able to sell it real quick...unlike some other older sportbikes.

 

I got my '01 F4i with 19k miles for $4k. Same as others, it was not in perfect shape, a few scuffs and a cracked turn signal. Otherwise a very clean bike with a few mods: Two Bros pipe and levers.

When I was looking around 03's with low miles (under 6k) were going for around 4700-5000, I also found a '05 in almost mint condition with 4600 miles for $5600. Keep shopping around and watch craigslist like a hawk. Good deals come an go on that thing FAST!
