Default Need help with gear ratio

I am buying a new chain kit for my 02 F4i. I was recommended to go to a 520 chain, and do a -1/+2 gear ratio. I am currently running a 16/46 ratio. Can anyone tell me what the benefit of that certain gear ratio will do for me. I am trying to decide if it is worth it or if I should just leave it be as is. I am not stunting, but I will soon be starting to do track days. Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend going -1 in the front only only because -1 give you lots of low end torque and it doesnt hurt the top end as much. having +2 in the rear your rpms will be too high and youll lose top end plus your sprocket will wear faster. -1 in the front you will only lose about 5-10 mph in top speed which isnt bad but youll need a speedohealer to get your speedo up to date and accurate.

I recommend the ebay sprocket kits that have a -1 front and stock rear both vortex sprockets and Rk chain 520 conversion. I think i paid $140.
