need battery and maintenance
hey guys
let me first say, im new to the forums. well i signed up last yr when i got my 02 f4i but this is my 1st post. now its riding season............but i need a battery since it dont hold the charge. FYI its the original battery with about 2700 miles on it. any recommendation on where and what battery to buy? i noticed they range from $40 to $100 on ebay.
Also, what kind of service should i perform? i know the manual has its own schedule maintenance but the bike has low miles and was not ridden at all from the previous owner. All i know the oil was changed one time and maybe twice but not sure.
Thanx

Even if the bike only has 2700 miles, the battery is 8 years old. I would definately replace it before it dies while youre out somewhere and leaves you stranded. That is a long time to have a battery in a vehicle.

Checking the battery will cost nothing and he'll prolly be right there to buy a new one if it is bad (autozone / pepboys / napa)

Check before replacing. Yeah, $50 may not be a lot. But it sucks to spend the cash, thinking you fixed what's wrong, and still have the problem.

Why spend money you don't have to?
