Screw that, buy a tire plug kit and do it yourself. $10 and 20 minutes and you're good to go.

I would buy another tire if I got a nail in mine. I just went out in the garage and saw that I only have two tires on my bike. Hate for something to happen to it while I was riding. Ride Safe

I've plugged my rear tire twice now, with just the cheap wal mart tire plug kit you can buy for like $6. Both times the plugs have worked fine, very little to no air leaking, and the plug stays put, even well above legal freeway speeds. My feeling is that a plug is ok for the rear tire, but a patch is obviously a better choice.
Not to hijack, but out of curiosity, has anyone ever plugged a Front tire before with any success?

If you don't track, cayon carve or ride at high speeds then go with a plug/patch. Otherwise suck it up and get a new one. I've replaced them with 90 miles and 300 miles before.

I ran both commute and hard twisties on my self-done plug-only tire, for at least 4,000 miles. I understand if someone wouldn't trust it, that's your own preference and is fine and dandy. Worked pretty well for me.

That said, I ride harder now than I did when I had that tire plugged, and I don't think I would want it like that for long. I'd plug it to get me by, then replace it when I could.

Stunters love used tires, plugged or not, and I know a ton of them, so pretty easy for me to unload a used tire and at least get a tiny chunk of cash out of it.
