If you can, I recommend a 600RR front end. You will need to run the clip-ons a little more outward than normal so they won't smack your air duct covers, but other than that it would be fine. My 05 F4i has a 600RR front end on it. And since you need all new stuff anyways, won't be that big a deal.

'Course, I would go with what ever I could find cheapest - and that will probably be a F4i front.

Nice find though, and should be a fun build-up. Enjoy!

Just a thought but I've always found a good place for decent F4i parts was here www.Stuntlife.com

A lot of stunters love the F4i and there always seems to be someone selling parts and since the F4i is basically unchanged (for the most part) for its entire production run parts can be easily fitted to your application.

A friend of mine showed me that forum. Definately not my kinda riding but all of em it seems like have a spare f4i parts bike and ive gotten quite a few cheap parts from over there.

Looks like you have quite the job in front of you for a first bike!
Good luck and we'll be expecting a full build thread once you get started

No way! After you get done with this bike, and become an expert at rebuilding bikes, you can buy a trashed 848, fix her up, and hand it down to me.
