I hope you didn't damage the stator...

Easy to replace, but if your bike isn't charging anymore you probably killed your stator.

Replaced mine just for looks...

Just follow the instructions in the repair manual...

You want to make sure you use thread locker on the stator, and some RTV around the dowel pins, torque to specs...

Geez.

Never seen one shattered quite like that. I'd definitely recommend inspecting the stator assembly for damage and also, as someone else mentioned, be heads up for crank damage. Unlikely, but possible.

As you're repairing it, frame sliders are a must. The wouldn't have necessarily kept the stator cover intact, but might have prevented it from being shattered.

And I'm sure you've concluded that riding pants with knee armor are generally a good thing.

WOW... two of us? lol. glad your ok crue.. I did the exact same thing and cracked my stator cover. also broke off the frame slider and bent the left clip on.. I found alot of stuff on ebay for cheap..

As for your interest in the woodcraft sliders, I think those are the most favored sliders from all that I've seen/read/heard

Glad to hear you're ok. At least it looks like your fairings aren't messed up badly. They look quite good actually from your picture.
