HAHA! That explains it. I was thinking, man that would probably look pretty unique on an F4i. The paint job wasn't that impressive, the cut had me intrigued though.

Welcome aboard. Sorry about your crash. Looks like the sliders did their job.

Check out www.nicecycle.com as well for fairings.

Much of what you mention are routine maintenance items that would have to be done anyway. You can do this maintenance fairly inexpensively yourself.

You could get a used stock can fairly inexpensively just to get a replacement on there for the time being. That would save money as well.

Replace the body panels, especially if you want to retain a higher resale value. Consider getting a style/color that is more mainstream. Reason is; it will be appeal to more buyers & sell easier, when you do get ready to sell.

Good luck w/ everything.
Thanks. I think that's likely what I am going to do for the can, for now.

So I'm looking at two fairing kits from Auctmarts on ebay right now (both in their store). The look exactly the same, the pages have the exact same info. But one says $554, and the other is $309. haha. Am I missing something here?

Does Delkevic come with any sort of heat shield on the side crowls? Talking to "Luke" from delkevic on the phone didn't get me anywhere. He said he was 90% sure? haha. I notice they precut the frame slider holes too.

I'll preface this by saying I do NOT like the street-fighter look, but why not take the fairings off, ride it as a street fighter for the next year or so, then sell it and buy a new one when your wife approves. Throw some sliders, or a stunt cage on it, and have some fun with it over the next year. Then you aren't spending time making cheap fairings fit, chasing cheap parts, etc.... to eventually have a bike that has been wrecked and has "high miles" by some shoppers' opinion. Don't forget that F4i's with that mileage are selling for 3k these days on average - in a year they will be even less.
