Lowering links..any input...?

Default Lowering links..any input...?

new to the forum.. but i ride an 01' f4i and im looking to put lowering links in. any pros or cons...? or anygood sites specific with f4i parts

lemme know whats out there.

if you lower the rear with the link, then you have to lower the front forks too. so you can lower it with new fork springs(pain and unneeded expense) or you can slide the forks towards the rider in the triple tree, which kills the handling. you also cant make it over sharp speed bumps and it reduces the shock absorption

for handling reasons don't do it...my bike had a 3" lowering link (just the back was lowered) on it when i got it.. it road funny in turns and was really hard to wheelie.. seem to hook up good off the line but not worth it if you do more than drag race..lol...

I lowered mine once, only did the back.didn't look as good with having the tail angle lessened and also without doing the front it took away from the sporty look of the bike I think.took it out within a month.you'll also need to change your kick stand.

If you do want to do it I still have my shortys adjustable lowering link. I'll sell it to you, just pm me if your interested

I bought some brackets to lower the back of my bike and slid the tubes on the front, alot of people say not to but if you're short then its really all you can do. even with the bike 1.5" lower i still only get the ***** of the feet on the ground.
