Default Left bar end fell off need new...

Anyone replaced their barends have a suggestion of what to get? My freaking left one fell off and I noticed it after work two days ago. I'm thinking of just getting a set off ebay that is blue with CBR engraved on it but are they crappy and really light weight?

Any suggestions helpful!!

Mike

I bought some carbon fiber look ones off of ebay but the screws they sent with them were to short so one eventaully came off. I bought a pair of shogun bar sliders and those have worked out perfectly for me (got them real cheap too!).

i purchased some white ones from Vortex that match my fraim sliders. they are very light weight, and i like how the screw is sunk in.....so in the event you wreck and it slides on it, you can still remove it....rather then shaving down a exposed screw head.

i'll get a pic of them tomorrow, i love the way they look on the bike.

what is the advantage to heavier bar ends, vs. lighter ones? i bought my light weight vortex ones but not based on weight. they are nice, and i notice my hands dont fall asleep anymore.

I hear the heavier they are the LESS vibration you feel in your hands. /shrug

Get these bar ends and let us know if they fit. I'd like to try these on my 1000rr.

If it's still under warranty the stealership should cover it, they did for me. Whatever you do, use loctite, it helps a lot.

+1. Heavier bar ends should help reduce the amount of vibration. I personally haven't replaced mine, but that's what I hear.
