Im sorry for my ignorance, I've spent most of my time under a hood, and im still new to the mechanics of a bike.
There's nothing majorly between a bike and car. A bike's motor is just far more compact.

Tell us something: With the bike off, make sure the ignition switch (the red one) is in the off position. Turn the key on, wait a couple seconds, then flip the ignition switch. Do you hear the fuel pump prime? If you don't, then that's something to investigate. Could be a blown fuse, or a wiring issue.

If the fuel pump primes and the bike just tries and tries to crank without getting anywhere, then (in my limited mechanical knowledge) I think it could be plugged injectors, or flooded spark plugs. Again, I THINK. I suck at mechanical stuff.

there is a red light on where the gauges (and milages and whatnot) are, what does that mean, its just a solid red light.

That's the Fuel Injection light. It will stay on until you start the bike, normal function. Now if it's flashing, then you have a problem.

Did it go down on the left side. The kickstand switch might be f*ed up. Any damage to the clip-ons, maybe the kill switch? Could be a shorted ignition wire? Does the pump prime? If yes, then forget everthing you just read. It could be as simple as fouled plugs.

When I laid my bike down the tip over sensor killed the motor. Once it was back upright it would crack over but not start. Once I shut off the key, and also turned the kill switch off and back on it started back up. So I know even when the tip over sensor is tripped it will still crank just not fire.
