Default Just a quick unanswered question about cct

Okay, Ive searched the the sticky everywhere and I never found an answer to the question: does the bike need to be at TDC or anything weird like that to change the CCT? Or is it as easy as just pulling te one ad putting the new on in?

Ideally, you'd pop the rocker cover to make sure that the chain doesn't skip a tooth and then check the timing before reassembly. Even more so when fitting a manual CCT so that you can set the tension correctly (turning it until the noise stops is not doing it correctly).

Of course most people don't do either and tend to get away with it.
