Keep the 190. I had one on my f4i and loved it. Some say it will handle better with a 180 but I never had any handling issues with the 190 on the street. If its going to be at the track than yah 180 it is.

Anyways, Welcome to the cbr forum! post some pics of your bike!

Thanks for the links vegas, I will definitely get a 180 after reading that. I was leaning toward going back with factory sizes, but thought i'd check to see what everyone else had experimented with.

Oh, really? Now I don't know which to do. Mine does look a little distorted like that write-up said, but I just figured it was due to the fact that the center of the tire is all the way down to the indicators and the sides look new. Previous owner clearly putted through corners.

I was planning on posting some before/after pics after I get all of my new parts and get it together.

Yes, i'm obviously getting new tires, i'm just trying to decide on which size would be best. That was the whole point of the original question.

When I bought my bike it had the stock 180 but came with a 190. When I blew the 180 and put the 190 on i didnt notice any diff what so ever. I ran that bike hard in corners and even harder in a straight line. No issues after 2 years. Plus I like the way it looks over the stock tire.

My buddy however use to loose traction on the 180 in the corners untill he went 190. Its really not that much difference at all.

12Pack, do you still run the 120/70 up front when using the 190 in rear or did you change it as well?

3) I know factory size rear is 180/55/17. As of right now mine has a 190/50/17. The speedo seems to be correct, I do like how it looks, and it does not rub. What do you all recommend, should I stick with the 190 or go back factory size?...
Get the 180, as it was designed for.
