i tried 87 in my bike once and i noticed that i got significantly less mpg. i usually get 120 miles per tank but i got 90 with 87. so i stick with 91.

 

I get 160 miles on my tank and I use 87.

This with oil is an eternal debate.

The manual states 87 and 10-40 oil. Anything beyond that is opinion and preference.

many claim perceived performance enhancements, but it comes down to what you are comfortable with.

gas: Known brand 87 octane
oil: synthetic Rotella 5-40
