i bought a integrated led tail light and im tryin to install it on my 02 600f4i but for some reason it will not work i have no tail light brake light or turn signals i have no idea what the problem is because if i hook up the oem one it works fine any ideas ?

 

Are you sure you wired everything correctly?

 

might check your wiring...not saying you don't know what you are doing but how are you wiring it up?

 

I have one on mine...ill check and see what wire color goes to what for you...did it have a blue and yellow wire on one side and a black red and yellow wires one the other?

 

I read about this issue somewhere before when I was looking into getting an integrated tail light... you need to install additional resistors in-line due to the lower voltage draw of the LED's.
I'm sure the manufacturer has some note about this, I can't remember what resistor size is needed, I'll try searching for it, you should as well.
note: I also have an 02 F4i so this might help you.

 

Green from bike goes to black on the taillight
black from bike goes to the yellow from taillight
Green with yellow strip from bike goes to red from taillight
And the other two wires go to the corrosponding colors for your turn signals...you plug into the solid color wires in the signal connectors only... leave the other open

 

You shouldn't have to add resistors unless the part is made extremly cheap...the taillights them selfs have been made with them already in them so they are plug and play to run on 12v ac...just like 99.9% of every other bolt on aftermarket led product sold

 

You have to add resistors if it's a front led signal..
but you talking about rear IT.
How about you take some Pictures...some really Good quality Pic's so we can see what's going on your wiring issue.. That is the best way we can help out..

 

thanks for all the help everyone i ended up figuring it out right after i made this i had the wrong ground wire hooked up the whole time hahah but thank you all for your imput if i wouldnt of figured it out it would of helped
